How to Find Your School Canvas URL

If the Canvas app asks you to Find my school, you need the Canvas URL your campus assigned—not a random Google result. Most institutions use one of two patterns.

Common Canvas URL patterns

• https://yourschool.instructure.com
• https://canvas.yourschool.edu
• A deep link inside the student portal that redirects into Canvas

Where to look if you are stuck

1. Check your welcome email from IT or the registrar.
2. Search your school website for “Canvas” in the student help section.
3. Ask a classmate which bookmark they use—compare the domain carefully.
4. On mobile, type the school name in Find my school; if it fails, enter the full URL manually.

Special cases: Canvas Network often uses learn.canvas.net. Canvas Lite teacher accounts use canvas.instructure.com.
